American Idol Top 3

Last night on American Idol, the final three took the stage and gave very good performances. This year is very weird, because it is honestly the first year where there wasn't an obvious person going home.

Season one had Nikki McKibben, two was Kimberley Locke, three was Jasmine Trias, four was Vonzell Solmon and last year was Elliott Yamin. They were all very talented, umm, except the one glaring exception, but everyone knew they were going home because they didn't have the fan support the others had.

It is not like that this year...I can quite honestly see anybody going home. Round One: Judges Choice This round obviously went to Melinda, although all three did pretty good. I think Simon picked a horrible song choice for Jordin, but she did a great job with what she was given. I wasn't a fan of Blake's performance but it was a lot of fun, especially since the other two had ballads. Melinda did a great job! I was a little worried they were going to tell her not to do Whitney, but she held her own and gave an amazing performance!

Round Two: Producers Choice The producers did a great job picking songs for the final three! I absolutely loved every performance. I was glad Jordin got to do something upbeat amidst the ballads and she did a great job. I would absolutely love it if Blake did a Maroon 5 vibish album...I loved that sound on him! It was by far his best performance of the night. and Melinda was definitley in her element. She did a great job. I really don't think there was a clear standout this round.

Round Three: Personal Picks I was kind of upset that Jordin and Melinda and chose songs they had already sang...maybe Blake did too, but I didn't recognize the song...they usually don't do a reprise until the final two. Anyway, Jordin picked my favorite performance from hers this season and did such a great job with it again! The judges get on my nerves though. The first time she sang the song they loved it, but now it is too old? and then the song they picked for her was just as old...It makes no sense...her exchange with Simon at the end was funny though.

Blake did an okay job, but his performances definitely didn't do anything for me tonight. I loved Melinda's song choice though, she did a great job with that song again. The bit with the backup singers was funny, even if it was a little unfair I think... Overall I thought it was a really great night. Melinda and Jordin did amazing, but I am hoping for a Blake-Jordin finale. I wouldn't be upset if Blake left though.

I just really hope Jordin is there next week, as she is my favorite by far. It would also be the first time ever that the person going first during the Final 3 week makes it to the finale (Idol fun fact for you =) )
