There are a couple of Idols who have recently signed record deals, or have albums or singles coming out soon, so I thought I'd share! First off, Bucky Covington's self-titled debut album will be released on April 17th. I doubt I will buy this one, but I'll give it a listen and if i like it, maybe I will buy it. I just don't see it doing too well...I didn't like Bucky on the show and thought it was very odd he got a record deal, but best of luck to him!
Carmen Rasmusen, who finished sixth in Season 2 of Idol, also has a country album coming out. Carmen Signed a record deal with Lofton Creek Records, and is expected to release an album this summer. I have heard a couple of songs from a demo-like CD she put out after Idol and I really liked what I heard. I liked Carmen on the show, but she definitely lacked experience and needed to learn how to use her voice better. From what I have heard, she has done a pretty good job with this, and hopefully she puts out a good CD.
Finally, Mandisa, from last year has a single coming out on May 22nd. It is titled "Only the World" and is off her debut album- expected out in July. She is working with the same producers that worked with Destiny's Child, so that's pretty cool!
Congratulations to all of the American Idols who have albums coming out soon, hopefully they will all sell pretty well!
